2020 ACT Annual Conference Speaker Permission Form


On behalf of the ACT Program Committee, Board, and Staff, thank you for agreeing to present at the 2020 ACT Virtual Conference being held May 18-20, 2020.


Please read and complete the information below carefully. Each presenter MUST complete the online speaker permission form.

As a speaker at the ACT Annual Conference on Corporate Tax Automation Current Trends in Technology, I hereby give ACT the permission to:

The Speaker Agreement must be submitted by all session speakers within one week. ACT can’t confirm you as a speaker until it is received. Each co-presenter will need to complete the online form.
You were provided with instructions to upload your presentation in your speaker confirmation email. A copy of your presentation must be submitted by the deadline provided by the ACT Office in Microsoft PowerPoint wide format to be reviewed and loaded on the ACT presentation machine. NOTE: Slide size must be 16:9 widescreen. You must also submit the PDF version that you would like distributed electronically to the conference attendees and made available on the ACT website based on your permission selections above.
This deadline is so our team can review your presentation for educational content and allow time for changes if required. NASBA now requires we have CPA from ACT formally sign-off on all presentations being presented for CPE credit. If we do not receive your presentation by this date, your session may be replaced with a speaker that will be able to provide ACT a similar presentation in a timely manner. Please note that due to this stringent requirement we now have, no updates or last minute changes for presentations will be allowed for any reason after May 1. If you need to correct an error or update information to reflect tax law changes or recent court cases, please contact before this date. We do not allow presentation changes after submission deadline to reflect newly added software features. Changing presentations at the conference is not permitted.
All presentations will be run from an ACT laptop using Microsoft PowerPoint. You will be able to choose from either a podium microphone or a hands-free lavaliere microphone. In the general session room, you will be able to control your presentation with a cordless mouse. Special requirements for additional AV, internet access or other accessories must be specified in the appropriate section above.
If you need to make a speaker substitution, please e-mail the request to
ACT does not pay speakers, waive conference fees or reimburse for travel expenses. Speakers are invited as experts in their area to share information with peers on a professional level.
Sessions must be educational in nature and may not be a sales presentation. All sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. Please allow time for questions at the end of your presentation.
The presentation room will be available for you at 7:30am, during breaks and during lunch.

Our accrediting body requires us to collect licensing information for any presenter that is a CPA. Being a CPA, however, is not a requirement to present. Please complete the information below.
