ACT Tax Tech eNews January 2018 - Why ACT is Strategic

Why ACT is Strategic - The Business Case for ACT Membership
Written by:  Steve Meyers, Chevron Corporation

ACT is the preeminent association for tax technology professionals who are interested in advancing operational effectiveness through the broad use of technology.  You need ACT now more than ever - - here’s a few of the reasons:

  • The pace of technology change is accelerating. Today’s hot topics include Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Tax Process Automation.  It’s really difficult to understand let alone be conversant in these and other emerging tax technologies. By membership and participation in ACT you can leverage the knowledge of experts and the ACT tax technology community to stay informed and help you position your organization.
  • Cost pressures and the need for efficiency are always present.  ACT is on the leading edge in how organizations can utilize technology and efficient processes to produce cost-effective results.
  •  ACT provides great networking opportunities via conferences, webinars and online resources that will help you be more effective in your job.
  • Tax Departments are very dependent on software and service providers and ACT creates opportunities to become better informed about the leading products and service providers in the marketplace.
  • Federal tax reform and follow-on State changes are going to have an impact on Tax processes and you need to be aware of how it will affect the tax technology function and the ACT community can help.

There has never been a better time to be an ACT Member! You can join/renew membership by visiting or Click Here.
