How Starbucks Tackled Fixed Assets Management

Hosted and Sponsored by
DATE: June 7, 2016
TIME: 11:00 AM PT/2:00 PM ET

For Starbucks, managing their growing number of fixed assets became a strenuous task. With more than 2 million fixed assets on their books, there were challenges at every turn, both for the tax team and for the accounting team.

Navigating repair regulations, qualified leasehold improvements, and cost segregation studies became a daunting task; it meant that more than 500,000 assets needed to be manually tracked and calculated using spreadsheets.

Eventually, there was a breaking point, and the tax and accounting teams at Starbucks realized that to continue to be successful, they had to make a change.

Attend this webinar to learn how Starbucks tackled their fixed assets management issues and hear:

  • An overview of corporate fixed assets workflow, including what’s important for the accounting teams vs. what’s important for the tax teams
  • The fixed assets challenges that Starbucks faced, including the breaking point that sparked a change
  • The process that Starbucks underwent to find a solution to their challenges
